Is it bedtime yet?

What would life be like without doing around the clock treatments?

I hope I am not the only mom who wonders some days "Is it bedtime yet"? or "will I ever make it till bedtime"? These thoughts circulate every two minutes on days like today and yesterday when you have a sick little one. T's asthma has been bad...add what we thought was a "cough" to it, it was super duper not fun. I had an inkling things were wrong, and wanted to get it sorted out before we fly home for ten day on Saturday. Good thing. He had a temperature of 103 degrees, double ear infection, and one ear drum that she expects to burst. She also thought he had phenomena and had him do x-rays. I knew he didn't, and insisted that's just how his asthma sounds when its really bad...I was right, but he does have a bacterial infection in his chest that could be making it worse. Pretty sad boy. The DR said we cant leave now till Monday, and still even deicide by how he is feeling. is it me, or is my kid SICK ALL THE F-ING TIME??? Like really sick? With real legit things! I say, "UNCLE" for his sake...and hope for good news from the Pediatric GI specialist on the 22 so ne thing goes his way...and pray we can last yet one more day of cabin fever...what can I do?? ANY ideas of how to keep a sick kid happy inside...beside TV? He's over that.

Play Dough! Jovie loves it, I'm sure Tommy will too! So did you know your husband invited us and the Smith's over for the Super Bowl? Please, if it is too stressful let us know. We could totally relocate. :0) *And BTW, Bedtime is my FAVORITE time of day.*

I am at work giving albuterol all night so just bring him up here and I will watch him. jk Kate I am soooo sorry, let me know if you need anything.

I've been thinking aboucha a lot lately. I had no idea T boy wasn't doing well! I hope he gets better, and say what?! You are leaving for 10 days??? I want to see those pics of yours! I saw Christine take them over to you, but she wouldn't let me peek. Call if you need anything....even something at the store!

So sad! It is so hard to entertain a kid that age, they get bored so easy. But I agree, try some play-doh, and also find a big piece of paper either the back of wrapping paper or butcher paper or something and cover a side of the kitchen table. That kept Dylon occupied for awhile drawing on it all. Good luck...bedtime is always the best!!

Sux that play dough and drawing on paper are two activities he does regularly...
Sounds like you may just have to put EVERYTHING on hold and just roll around on the floor with T, sing songs, tickle (without making him wheeze more!) play peek-a-boo, build a fort under chairs and play with flashlights while reading- whatever. Keeping a kid entertained is a full-time job...one that maybe dinner can be forfeited for.
Hope you can get together with Tally tomorrow, please call Chris!

I know you are in Ca right now, but just to let you know. For a solid year when Aly was in pre-school & Heather was 1 I woke up every morning so exhausted that I would roll over, check the clock, & count how many hours till bed time. I good luck!
